He promised them every winters day a meal.
Hunger and despair bent them to his will.
And so peoples mercy did congeal.
Tryin' to hide from the winters sun.
Seekin the shades where he is coming from.

The poor man who picked the lot,
didn't tell his wife or his only son.
He promised while he wept,
